Ajay has been exposed to horses at an early age and developed the passion for them since childhood. Born in a 100 year old Indian Army Stud farm, he was surrounded by more than 2000 horses growing up. With his father being a Colonel in the Remount And Veterinary Corps, he learnt how to ride and became an accomplished equestrian rider at international level winning laurels for India in many equestrian events.
Finishing his degree in Business Administration, he started his Post Graduate Diploma in Horse Racing Control in 1999 and started his first job with Hyderabad Race Course as a licensed racing officer, making him the youngest licensed Racing Officer by Turf Authorities in India at the time.
In 2004 he was the first Indian awarded a place on the prestigious Darley Flying Start Programme, a renown two year international management and leadership training programme for the thoroughbred industry. Following his graduation, Ajay became the UAE Representative for Darley Dubai, catering for bloodstock requirements in the Middle East, exploring upcoming racing nations and introducing racing at its best to VIP guests and clients of Darley and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Having lived and worked with horses in seven countries, his passion for racing and his unmistakable instinct to select the right horses, led Ajay in early 2010 to establish his own full service Bloodstock Company, which has grown from strength to strength ever since.
